Not so long ago the music industry was celebrating an influx of young British singer songwriters with the likes of Adele, Emeli, Ellie et al causing a stir here and over the pond.

2013 seems to be the year of the boys with a procession of young and very talented young men emerging fully formed onto our airwaves and stages.

Leading the charge is a young man from Chichester who goes by the name of Tom Odell, already favourably mentioned in the same breath as Jeff Buckley and not just because of his seemingly rangeless, stunning vocals but for his insanely talented song writing skills too. Having scooped the BRITs Critic’s Choice Award, 2013 looks set to be his year.
