When Fake Blood first gushed onto an unsuspecting world with the ridiculously huge ‘Mars’ no one had a clue who was responsible for this much needed kick up the arse for British dance music.
When the culprit was finally revealed it made perfect sense that is was none other than already legendary producer and DJ Theo Keating, aka Touché, one half of The Wiseguys, a man who almost singlehandedly invented Big Beat the last time clubland needed saving was on hand to do it all again, this time under the genius Fake Blood moniker.
His debut album Cells is a work of absolute joy, a collection of tunes so anthemic, so huge, so unashamedly dancefloor friendly that people should be building clubs just to get this stuff played.
Bestival is always excited to welcome this man along in whatever guise he’s sporting but we’re over the moon that this year we get to present the mighty Fake Blood for you lucky, lucky people.
