Car travel on the island

Once on the island, please follow these new directions from the ferry ports to the Bestival site and car park:

From East Cowes ferry: Take second exit at roundabout onto A3021. At next roundabout take the 1st exit onto A3054 (signposted Ryde). Turn right onto Park Road (signposted Sandown, A3056). At mini-roundabout bear right onto Briddlesford Road (signposted Sandown). Go straight over next roundabout onto Downend Road (signposted Arreton / Sandown). Follow Bestival event signage.

From Fishbourne ferry: Travel up B3731 (Fishbourne Lane). Turn left onto the A3054 (signposted Ryde). Follow Bestival event signage. (please do not follow Sat Nav directions)

From Yarmouth ferry: Take the A3054 to Newport. At St Mary’s roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A3020 (signposted Town Centre). At Coppins Bridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto A3054 (signposted Ryde). At traffic signals turn right onto Staplers Road. Then turn right onto Long Lane. Continue forward onto Longlane Shute. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Downend Road (signposted Arreton, Sandown). Follow Bestival event signage.

The postcode for SatNav users is PO33 4DF, although it’s very important that you turn this off & follow event signage as soon as you see it.

Car Park Charge
Car Parking Tickets are available for £11 in advance from all ticket outlets, or will be £15 in cash on the day. You only need to buy a ticket once and it will be valid for the whole weekend, no matter how many times you come and go.

Car Sharing
If you are coming to Bestival by car, please fill it up with people. Even if you only have one space free in your car, please check out both options on our Car Sharing page and get yourselves signed up. Likewise, of course, to anyone who is looking for a lift. What’s more, these services are entirely free to use (you simply share the travel costs).

IMPORTANT!
We work closely with both Red Funnel and Wightlink ferry companies to reduce congestion at the ports on the Monday. You must help to play your part by turning up for your scheduled ferry on time, but no earlier than 1 hour before your ferry time – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!

NB. There are local road closures and diversions in place, please turn off your SAT NAV and follow event routing and signage.
